INCHDAIRNIE & LINDORES ABBEY

The Kingdom of Fife is home to several excellent distilleries and we are excited to announce that both InchDairnie and Lindores Abbey have offered to host us.

InchDairnie Distillery in their quest for flavour have distilled decades of industry experience and knowledge into fine-tuning one of the most meticulously designed distillation processes in the world. InchDairnie produce Malt, Peated Malt and Rye Whiskies and as part of the tour you will get to see a Mash Filter, a Thermal Vapour Recompression still house amongst other technology considerations.

Lindores Abbey has links to the earliest written reference to Scotch Whisky and after a break of 523 years are bringing a very modern whisky-making approach to this ancient site. Lindores Abbey in addition to Scotch Malt Whisky also produce Aqua Vitae, which is an award winning handcrafted botanical spirit, made at Lindores as long ago as 1494.

These two distilleries should provide you slightly different perspectives on the overall design and technologies required for a newer Scottish distillery.
